About Us

Chernivtsi Applied College of Transport

Chernivtsi Applied College of Transport (CAСT) was founded in 1945 and is one of the leading educational institutions training specialists for work in Ukraine’s railway and automobile sectors. With Ukraine’s accession to the WTO and its emergence on the international stage as a transport state, new tasks have arisen to raise the requirements for improving the quality of specialist training to European standards. Many graduates of the educational institution make a valuable contribution to the development of Ukraine’s transport sector. Graduates of CAСT work at the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Ukraine, at Ukrzaliznytsia, in railway administrations and branches, at factories, in depots, at transport organizations and enterprises, and also teach at higher educational institutions.

The college provides training for professional junior bachelors in both full-time and part-time programs in the following specialties:

J8 Automotive Transport

F3 Computer Science

J7 Railway Transport

EPP  “Maintenance and Repair of Automobiles and Engines”

EPP  “Computer Science and Information Technology”

EPP  “Diagnostics, Maintenance and Repair of Automotive Mechatronic Systems” based on complete general secondary education

EPP “Organization of Transportation and Management in Road Transport”

EPP “Maintenance and Repair of Railway Structures and Track Facilities”

EPP “Technical Maintenance and Repair of Railway Cars”

Also, the educational institution runs advanced training courses for mid-level workers in the railway and automotive transport sectors, and preparatory courses are held for applicants seeking admission.

The college does not admit foreign nationals and stateless persons for study. Currently, the educational institution employs 42 teaching staff members. The educational institution has 57 classrooms and laboratories in three academic buildings. There is an assembly hall, a sports hall, a sports ground, 5 workshops, 4 training grounds, and a driving training area. There are three dormitories on the college campus for student accommodation.

The college cooperates with other educational institutions, enterprises, and non-governmental organizations in Ukraine (NGO “Together Towards the Goal”; Partnership and cooperation agreement between Mariupol State University and Chernivtsi Applied College of Transport within the framework of the implementation of the English language learning project “English4Ukraine”; Agreement on Cooperation and the Organization of Mutual Relations with the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine; Cooperation and Employment Agreement between Chernivtsi Applied College of Transport and the Production Structural Subdivision “Chernivtsi Track Maintenance Section”; Cooperation and Employment Agreement between Chernivtsi Applied College of Transport and the Separate Subdivision “Ivano-Frankivsk Security Unit”).

Students of the educational institution participate in sports competitions both in the region and across Ukraine, consistently winning prizes. Technical creativity and amateur performance clubs operate alongside the classrooms, involving around 300 students. After graduating from the college, graduates are employed in middle management positions at enterprises of the Lviv Railway, as well as at automotive transport enterprises in Chernivtsi and the Chernivtsi region.
